Set Up Your First Property
The minimum data needed to create a usable property record.
A property is the parent record for units, maintenance, expenses, and income. Build this first before attempting financial tracking.
Recommended setup order:
1. Add property name and property type.
2. Add address metadata (city, state, zip, country).
3. Add optional purchase data if you want long-term reporting context.
4. Save and open the property detail page.
Common confusion:
- You can leave purchase price/date blank and still use all operational features.
- If your dashboard sends you back to Welcome, it means no properties are currently stored for your account.
