Recommended process for move-in and move-out updates.

Treat occupancy as an operational status, updated at each tenant change.

Suggested sequence:
1. Set unit to occupied when lease starts.
2. Record rent and related income/expense activity.
3. Set unoccupied when vacancy begins.
4. Add maintenance tasks tied to turnover work.

This keeps occupancy rates and property-level net calculations trustworthy.
